Me and Mine // February 2017

Another month of 2017 already gone! I can't believe we're going to be into March already tomorrow. February has been kind to us... we've had plenty of days out, a couple of play dates, a pretty healthy month food-wise (although the last week has been far from it 🐷), a date night, shopping day, valentines day and a week off altogether over half term. Managed to get a few things off an ongoing to-do list ticked off too which always makes me feel better too.

February Half Term

I had lots of plans for half term but unfortunately most of them didn't happen. With the weather being miserable (apart from Monday and Friday), Elsie teething like crazy and no one getting a good nights sleep, cosy days at home appealed more. However, we've got a crazy 3 year old to try and tire out so we tried to get out as much as possible. Seriously, he's only in playgroup for two hours every morning but he's mental without going there! I get tired just watching him run around like a loon!

Oliver's Bedroom Tour

Lightbox: This Modern Life // Elmer: JoJo Maman Bebe

I absolutely love the kids' bedrooms. I have to admit, decorating Elsie's has come a bit more naturally to me (possibly due to endless looking at baby girl nursery ideas on Pinterest when I was pregnant!) but I'm finally getting there with Ollie's room now. There's still a couple of things left to do, like paint his mountains wall behind his bed and paint his kitchen, as I ran out of time before Christmas. So here it is at the moment! I've put links to everything under the photos (unless it's not sold anymore) but let me know if I've missed something out and you'd like to know where it's from.

4moms Mamaroo Review

After the car seat, pram and nursery furniture, the 4moms Mamaroo is the most expensive baby purchase I've ever made. So naturally, I hesitated at first because no one wants to part with £300 in a rush. When Oliver was a baby, we had a Winnie the Pooh rocker from Mothercare that vibrated and played lullabies. He absolutely loved it and used it until he was about 5 or 6 months old. We kept it in the garage for baby number two but it was no where near good enough for Miss Elsie!

Elsie's 6 Month Update

We are officially half way to one! At six months old, Elsie is weighing approximately 20lb and measuring 70cms long/tall (I think anyway, bit tricky to weigh and measure her at home but we've got her 6 month check up with the health visitor on Tuesday so I'll know for sure then). Teething has still been in full force this past month but no sign of any popping through. Hopefully it'll be this month *fingers crossed*.

Siblings Project // February 2017

I knew I wanted to take this months Siblings Project photos outside (as last months were just in Ollie's bedroom) but the weather has been rubbish so I didn't think it would actually happen. Plus the days of squeezing Elsie into her 3-6 month snowsuit are long gone and I can't justify buying a new one just for a few weeks (or so I hope, hurry up spring!). Then Monday happened! The actual sun was shining so we managed to get some photos in the wooded area by our house without the need for a million layers.

Will I ever reach my target weight?...

I've been feeling pretty 'meh' about myself recently. Obviously my body has changed dramatically over the last 4 years from growing two gorgeous and healthy little babies but the second you become a Mum you put them first and I've been neglecting looking after myself. I'm constantly looking for new clothes for them or even new bits for the house, but I can't remember the last time I went on a full on shopping trip for myself. I'm the type that buys whatever make up is on offer in Boots, I haven't had a haircut in nearly a year, I've only got one pair of pjs (shocking I know) and my bras are older than I care to admit. But enough is enough, I need to make some changes so I feel a bit more like me again.

Bugaboo Comfort Wheeled Board Review

We always knew we wanted to have more than one child, so when we were deciding on which pram to buy when I was pregnant with Ollie, I did debate buying the Bugaboo Donkey. It would be perfect for one baby and then adapt when the second little one came around. But with it being considerably bigger to store and navigate around shops, and us not being sure on what the age gap would be anyway, I picked the Buffalo instead.

Aber Falls Trip

I love going for a walk up Aber Falls. I can remember going for walks up there with my Mum and Dad when I was younger and I want my little ones to have the same memories. It's located at the village of Abergwyngregyn (by Llanfairfechan), which is only a 15 minute drive away for us. The walk itself is about 2.5 miles and is definitely family friendly. You can take a pram all the way up to the falls (although our Bugaboo Bee definitely wouldn't make it, it's a breeze with the Buffalo) and there's toilets at the car park and plenty of spots to have a picnic.

Me and Mine // January 2017

I'm really excited to take part in the Me and Mine project this year! I've seen a few people take part in it on Instagram over the last couple of years and get so envious of their beautiful family photos each month. Taking a photo of all of us is something we definitely don't do often enough, so this is the perfect thing for us to build a little collection up.
